Our Istanbul team includes former marine engineers and chief officers who now lead fleet operations, superintendents who have overseen more than 150 newbuildings across four countries, and specialists who have spent entire careers in this discipline. That depth of experience is what our shore-based roles require – and what they offer in return.
Cadetships
The senior team running Geden’s operations today began their careers aboard managed vessels. That is not a coincidence – it is how this company has always worked.
Our cadetship programme places aspiring officers inside one of the most technically demanding disciplines in shipping: tanker management under long-term charter to the world’s leading oil majors. From the outset, cadets train to the standard that Shell, TotalEnergies, and BP inspect and approve. There is no easier version to graduate from first.
